Today at Asian Aerospace in Hong Kong, Metrojet is pleased to announce plans to develop an MRO at Clark in the Philippines. Plans are at an advanced stage, with ground breaking expected within the next 60 days and completion of the facility in early 2012. The 40,000 sq ft facility will offer the same aircraft maintenance services and support currently enjoyed in Hong Kong. Metrojet will also expand the range of services to include avionics upgrades, interior refurbishment, and exterior paintwork for aircraft.
“Metrojet believes embarking on this venture will better serve the growing demand for quality engineering and maintenance services for the Asian Business Aviation market” said Björn Näf, CEO of Metrojet. “We will continue to expand our business to support the growing demand from Business Aviation, and we believe by choosing Clark, with its close proximity to Hong Kong, this will allow us to remain the leading business aviation company in Asia.
