Metrojet Limited, a leading business aircraft services provider based in Hong Kong with presence in Asia, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Chen as the General Manager for developing the Company’s China Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) project effective from 20 November, 2017. In this role, Michael will be working closely with Metrojet’s Aircraft Management and Charter team to lead and manage the setup of the Company’s AOC in China, obtaining the regulatory approvals of CCAR Part 91 and 135, as well as developing the business strategy and opportunities to support the long term growth of Metrojet in this region.

Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a reputable business leader in the market maintaining a strong relationship within the Government and regulatory authorities in China. He started his career in Beijing with AMECO, a joint venture company between Air China and Lufthansa, having spent nine years in various production planning and engineering management roles. Michael was the Programme Manager of the US-China Aviation Cooperation Programme of the American Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, a Director of Government Affairs and Business Development with Honeywell China and served as the Director of Business Development and Government Affairs of GE Aviation Greater China.
