Head of IT

This position will lead the transformation of the Company to a centralized Information Technology (IT) service through an Information Technology Shared Services Organization (SSO). The Head of IT (HIT) will provide technology vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives. This individual is responsible for the planning and execution of an information technology vision, goals and initiatives that support the long term objectives, mission and vision of the Company at all of its sites, subsidiary sites or as needed for its joint venture companies. This leader will collaborate with leaders at the highest level of the organization and manage a small team of professionals who are accountable for the delivery of all information technology services.

Job Description

  • Lead a governance structure that aligns IT initiatives to optimize IT investments and produce an annual IT plan and budget.
  • Be responsible for the selection, acquisition, development, installation, maintenance and support of information technology for the Company.
  • Manage the project approval and selection process.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the IT Portfolio.
  • Perform an ongoing assessment of IT capabilities of employees and contractors and IT performance.
  • Oversee relationships between the Company’s IT resources and external vendors and agencies.
  • Develop the IT SSO and develop a permanent reporting structure and a service delivery model for the SSO & establish processes, policies and metrics.
  • Develop a strategy and plans for the technical infrastructure and application architecture for the Company.
  • Develop and evaluate service level organization that establishes service standards for each entity served by the Shared Services Operation.
  • Establish, manage and maintain a service orientated, customer focused IT function that supports ongoing operations.
  • Ensure that enterprise information systems operate according to Company standards, best practice and legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a business recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of data and IT services in the event of a disaster.
  • Oversee the negotiation of all IT contracts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • At least 10 years of experience IT systems engineering or consultancy field or similar position, with aviation company experience is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading global / regional IT projects or projects with organizational change
  • Knowledgeable in global standards in IT solutions for enterprises
  • Sound project management skills and interpersonal skills
  • Detailed minded, proactive, strong problem solving skill
  • Able to work independently and highly motivated

Head of Sales, Regional MRO

Lead, coordinate and be accountable for the Regional MRO Sales Strategy, tactical plan, execution and achievement of budgeted sales revenues. Coordinate with the various facility General Managers in order to maximize their location capabilities and services to deliver the required performance and to drive maintenance sales to the most appropriate location for the client and Metrojet.

Job Description

  • Develop the long term Regional MRO Sales & Marketing strategy to achieve the long term business strategies.
  • Implement a short to medium term tactical sales plan to maximize the use of resources and achieve the sales targets for each location.
  • Develop and manage a real time sales pipeline system and measurement of performance.
  • Develop and maintain an effective estimating and sales process.
  • Manage and coordinate the estimating team and performance.
  • Develop market intelligence, monitor the MRO market in the region and advise leadership of trends and activities that should influence Regional strategies and plans.
  • Establish a strong partnership with OEMs for maintenance services in the region.
  • Recommend new products, services and pricing to maximize market share and penetration.
  • Lead the sales team and guide them to perform at optimum level.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in aviation MRO Sales, of which 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Relevant engineering degree or ICAO Type 2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence or FAA A&P qualification. Licences do not have to be current.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge and experience in developing regional sales and marketing strategies, materials and tactical execution plans.
  • Proven track record in delivering sales plans, revenue targets and increased growth.
  • Has managed and lead a sales team and been accountable for overall performance.
  • Experience in the business aviation sector is essential.
  • Work exposure and experience in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Detailed minded, excellent sales skills, strong business acumen with reasonable level of financial literacy.
  • Must be customer oriented and have a polished ambassadorial presentation and presence in all situations.

General Manager – Zhuhai (MRO)

The purpose of this role is to be the Accountable Manager for the establishment, and to lead and be accountable for the management and performance of the Zhuhai Maintenance Part 145 Service Centre with a strategic objective to achieve Operational Excellence through leadership, cultural change and implementation of corporate business improvement strategies, tools and techniques.

Job Description

  • Day to day delivery of the responsibilities of the Accountable Manager.
  • Be the Company’s representative for any external events;
  • Plan, define and control the yearly department operating budget to ensure that necessary resources are available, expense costs are reduced and maintenance capital is improved;
  • Lead the efforts to increase the market share in China and South East Asia;
  • Drive and deliver business results focusing on the on-time aircraft release that improve reliability, lower cost and enable sustainable and scalable growth;
  • Ensure the hangar is operated and maintained to the highest standards in occupational health and safety and in accordance with local legislations as well as the Company’s policies and procedures;
  • Deliver continuous operational excellence and best practice;
  • Provide clear leadership to the expanding multidisciplinary workforce;

  • Direct, motivate, develop and control the Maintenance and Engineering team, in order to maximise their performance and ensure that objectives are achieved;
  • Ensure management practices, procedures and resources are implemented in an effective and efficient manner to meet the Key Performance Indicators.
  • Coach, Mentor and Develop the maintenance team at all levels to maximise individual’s potential and contribution to the wider Metrojet strategies.
  • Implement robust and transparent financial processes and work practices to ensure financial reporting is accurate and as close to real time as possible.
  • Ensure the SMS and HSE corporate programs are embedded in the system and personnel.

Job Requirements

  • 15+ years in Aviation Industry, preferable on the Business and/or private Aviation Experience;
  • More than 10 years of experience in managing a sizable team, preferably in aviation related industries;
  • Preferably, hold a CAAC, EASA and/or FAA Maintenance Licence, and/or a Bachelor degree or above in Engineering;
  • Master degree in business administration or additional qualifications in management;
  • Liaison experience with the CAAC, HKCAD, FAA, EASA and/or other aviation industry agents;
  • Strong background exposure with both domestic and international vendors;
  • Demonstrated and firm understanding of international travel, international customs and practices;

Quality Manager – Zhuhai (MRO)

This role is responsible for ensuring effective and safe operations of the Company’s quality and safety management system in compliance with the requirements of CAAC regulations and the company standards.

Job Description

  • Lead the development of airworthiness regulatory policies, technical quality system, safety management systems and procedures to ensure adherence and implementation of the required technical, engineering, safety standards and Company policies.
  • Responsible for any CAAC requirement is met in accordance with regulations, company policies and manuals.
  • Responsible for evaluating all vendors, contractors, sub-contractors, manufactures, suppliers and line/route technical handling agencies and personnel employed in connection with the Company’s technical operation in accordance with the quality system of the Company.
  • Establish the qualification requirements for each post holder according to CAAC requirements and company policies.
  • Establish and implement the Safety Management System for the Company to maintain best practices in the industry.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and systems for training in safety in accordance with the relevant safety and quality standards and regulations as well as the Company.
  • Responsible for compilation of the maintenance manuals in order to maintain safe and effective operations of the Company in accordance to regulatory standards.
  • Perform the management and implementation of company quality and compliance management systems such as audits in maintenance checks, overhaul and repairs.
  • Plan and carry out periodic internal and external audit and continuous surveillance programmes.
  • Ensure audit reports are produced and monitor the progress of correction of any non – compliance.
  • Present departments’ annual plans and budgets and to ensure expenditure is in compliance with the approved budget.
  • Provide strong and inspired leadership to the employees of the team, promoting and maintaining strong morale of the Company.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Aviation or related subjects
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in aviation safety and quality management with experience in QA post holder position.
  • Valid CAAC66 (ME&AV) maintenance license and management license.
  • Familiar with the requirements of Part 145 regulations in civil aircraft management and relevant safety standards and policies.
  • Liaison experience with CAAC and/or other aviation industry agents.
  • Sound experience in establishment and implementation of Safety Management System, Emergency Response Procedures.
  • Certified professional auditor training.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Chinese and English are essential.
  • High computer literacy and good command in report writing skills.
  • Detail minded, proactive, strong problem solving skills.
  • Self-driven, ability to work independently and under high level of stress.

Senior Engineer/Engineer (Clark)

Metrojet Engineering Clark Ltd. (MEC) was established in 2012, under the Metrojet Group, as part of the Kadoorie family. MEC is a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility designed to augment both heavy and line maintenance capabilities in the region. Senior Engineer/ Engineer (Clark) is to ensure that all maintenance activities performed on aircraft and/or components, within company’s regulatory approved capability.

Job Description

  • Ensure all scheduled maintenance is carried out on time by maintenance contractors according with the program, standards pre-defined and mandatory maintenance directives and requirements;
  • Update aircraft status on a daily basis with Maintenance Management and relevant Operations personnel to ensure that all scheduled maintenance is carried out efficiently with minimum down time;
  • Develop efficient relations with contracted maintenance organizations and aircraft manufactures;
  • Ensure that pre-flight inspections are carried out in accordance with company procedures and Quality requirements to guarantee a high level of safety in all flights;
  • Oversee all daily maintenance activities to ensure that all maintenance actions are performed in maintenance services centres approved by the Company, efficiently and in a timely manner with a minimum downtime;
  • Coordinate all unscheduled maintenance actions, providing recommendations to the maintenance personnel, in order to utilize allocated downtime in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Ensure that crew members are provided with all the required support concerning maintenance related issues, to guarantee the safety and reliability of the aircraft;
  • Ensure Work Orders are released to service in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures to maintain aircraft safety, effective record keeping and minimum downtime;

Job Requirements

  • Holder of CAAP and FAA A&P or EASA Maintenance License, and/or a Bachelor degree or above in Engineering is an advantage.
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience with Type Rating in King Air/ Bombardier/ Gulfstream/ Embraer/ Learjet aircraft.
  • Experience in the area of Quality, MRO or Technical Services.
  • Working knowledge of inspection procedures, methods, equipment and accepted industry standards.
  • Good command in both written and spoken English
  • Excellent organizational skills and attentive to details
